Track+ 3.8.2

This is Track+ release 3.8.2 as of March 2, 2011. Compared to the previous production release 3.8.1 this release contains the following improvements:

  • New cockpit views (activity stream, two-dimensional project statistics, version control commits, hiearchical issue overview, my watch list)
  • Simplified masks for mass changes and mass copy
  • New field types (fixed HTML text)
  • Direct creation of sibling issues in hierarchical issue structures
  • New query possibilities for all sub-ordinated issues
  • Consideration of project status in all cockpit views (stopped projects will not be shown)

Track+ 3.7.2

This is Track+ release 3.7.2 as of August 14, 2009. Compared to the previous production release 3.7.1 this release contains bug fixes and a number of new features:

  • Issue import from Excel spread sheets.
  • New accounting report templates for time sheets, monthly reports, etc.
  • Mailing of issues and comments directly from issues.
  • Configurable defaults per project when creating issues.
  • Enhanced helpdesk functionality.
  • Support for Firefox 3.5.x.

Track+ 3.7.1

This is Track+ release 3.7.1 as of June 24, 2009. Compared to the previous production release 3.7.0 this release contains bug fixes and a number of new features:

  • Project export and import. It is now possible to export a selectable number of issues or entire projects and import it in a different Track+ instance. Any existing data is preserved, there will be no duplicates. Any new data is added to the importing instance. This permits to exchange data across organizations.
  • The issue overview size now automatically resizes with the browser window.
  • Comments are completely shown with all text and formatting inline. There is no need any more to open a comment explicity to see all information.
  • Inline editing is supported on the issue detail pages. This makes it easier and faster to change an issue.

Track+ 3.7.0

This is Track+ release 3.7.0 as of April 25, 2009. Compared to the previous production release 3.6.1 this release contains a number of new features:

  • The previous issue detail view page is merged with the edit issue page. The layout of this page can be customized just like all other masks.
  • All information concerning an issue now available on the issue detail/edit page. Ajax technology reduces the number of page reloads.
  • Comments have been separated from history and are now editable and deletable by the original author.
  • Worklog and budget planning much easier to use now.
  • Issue linking permits to create arbitrary link types, and link issues using these link types.
  • iCAL integration. Point your iCAL, Outlook or Thunderbird calendar to a Track+ URL and have all events automatically show up in your calendar application.
  • Copy projects including issues. This permits to create template projects, and eases set up of new projects that already have some standard issue structure defined (for example design, implementation, test, to any level of detail).
  • Archive and delete issues. Project administrators can mark issues as archived or deleted. Such issues will not be visible for regular users any more.
  • New cockpit views: a personal calendar (weekly, monthly), and a project progress overview.
  • Preparation for cluster operation.
  • Copying issues with optional inclusion of attachments and children. This permits to create predefined structures like assessment plans or check lists, that can be easily duplicated for each release or new projects, e.g., to create assessment protocols.

With release 3.7.0 we are moving to Java 1.5, since 1.4 has reached its end of life, as announced by Sun last year in October.

Track+ 3.6.1

This is Track+ release 3.6.1 as of 11/12/2008. Compared to the previous production release 3.6.0 it contains several new features such as

  • Integrated data backup and restore function, manually and automated
  • Powerful WYSIWYG print function from issue overview
  • Direct export to Excel and CSV from issue overview
  • Improved reporting and cockpit components

as well as many smaller improvements.
